Passive RFID in the management of medical supplies

Imaging a patience take medicine ,getting treatment in a hospital,how we ensure that he’ll be properly taken care?Is the medicine reliable,the device has been properly sterilization?Passive RFID technology offer such possibility which we can track every progresses of the medicine,like the production,storage,transportation and even the anti-counterfeiting.Especially the information such as the ability of the entire life cycle interval can be reorganized throughout the process to avoid public medical safety issues, and plays an important role in the construction of smart medical care.

Since the U.S. Food and Drug Administration required medical devices sold to the United States in 2013 to require a unique device identifier, the UDI (Unique Device Identification) system has been used to identify medical devices throughout the entire life cycle. , So that it has a unique "identity card" in the product supply chain to help simplify the tracking and recall of medical supplies.

As we know,the passive RFID chip has a NUID which can help us to identify the tags linking to the medicine.The critical information like the expiration time can be recorded in the chip.So the  interaction between patients and medical personnel, medical institutions, and medical equipment become traceable and transparent.
