Application of RFID in the tobacco

The AI areas is coming, and changed deeply the tobacco industry from the production to sell. RFID combine with the sensors through the information system, it realizes smart sorting,logistics and anti-counterfeiting.

In Yunnan province, a tobacco plantation uses the RFID technology and sensors to grade the tobacco automatically. In the past, the worker should identify them one bye one and mark them with a paper card. Through the big data platform, sensors and RFID, less manpower, paperless, while more efficient. The graded tobacco leaves will be placed and transfer to different tray  which attached to a RFID label.

The label has been encoded the graded information, based on this information, the processing steps will be much more easier and less human intervention.

In the area of retails, the RFID can still play a important role. At the bus stop in Shanghai, you can see the tobacco ads, black&white display, without any external power supply, the electronic paper can display 2 years.The changing of the ads can be finished by a cellphone with NFC function.
