Passive RFID +temperature sensors in traceability of the cold chain

Every day,millions of tons of goods are transported across the global.Among them’ re temperature sensitive.However,the loss and damage of perishable goods happens all the time during storage and transportation .So during the transportation,how we monitor the temperature changes in real-time become more and more important.

In Yunan,the local government aims to improved the urban and rural cold chain logistics distribution network through the RFID&sensor technology. They have take accuracy measures to ensure the smart ,high quality flow of the agricultural products.In return,the RFID&sensor technology generate the whole data will help them improve and recheck the whole operation.

The measure included:

1) ,Build the cold chain distribution facilities nearby the producing area.

2) ,Perfect the storage ability of the distribution in urban and rural areas.

3) ,Perfect the Express delivery and other logistics service networks through offering the “smart box” and motorized&efficient transportation.

In every process ,.especially in the cold chain logistics distribution centers through the whole data reports ,in the distribution the farmer can finish  quality inspection, grading, packaging efficiently.The government aims to make the every process in transportation and storage transparent. Any little temperature change at which place ,when and last time will be encoded by the cold chain management system.Through the strict process management,the local government want to build a high quality local brand to increase the incomes of the local farmers.

“The storage conditions effect the taste of the fruits,as long as we can keep the quality of the cold-chain,the end-customer can taste the fruit like it’s fresh out off the trees.”The village head said.

Tracking the agricultural products moving through the supply chain may also alert if they are not stored at the right temperature and predict the remaining shelf life.Applying the RFID &sensors in cold chain enable us to reduce cost .The early warning ,the process data r record can help us improve the whole operation of the transportation and storage.
